Sigma Announces Three Emerging Nurse Researchers for 2018

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) will recognize emerging nurse researchers at Sigma’s 29th International Nursing Research Congress in Melbourne, Australia, 19-23 July 2018. On Friday, 20 July 2018, these three individuals — representing Canada, South Africa, and Taiwan — will be presented with the Emerging Nurse Researcher award.

Created in 2015, the Emerging Nurse Researcher award recognizes one nurse researcher from each Sigma global region who has received his or her PhD within the last five years and whose research has impacted the profession and the people it serves. 

“I want to congratulate these emerging nurse researchers,” said Sigma President Beth Baldwin Tigges, PhD, RN, PNP, BC. “I am excited to learn from each of them about all they have accomplished in their early careers and the incredible effect their work will have on health and nursing worldwide.”

Sigma’s annual congress attracts nearly 1,000 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders, who learn from evidence-based research presentations. The theme for the 29th International Nursing Research Congress is Innovative Global Nursing Practice and Education Through Research and Evidence-Based Practice.
