Chapter Key Award
The Chapter Key Award, established in 1991, honors Sigma Nursing chapters that set the standard for excellence. By recognizing outstanding leadership, member engagement, and service, the award celebrates chapters that create meaningful experiences for members while advancing the nursing profession and strengthening communities around the world.

The award honors chapters that excel in chapter-related activities such as:
- Chapter Leadership and Operations
- Membership Recruitment and Retention
- Communication and Engagement
- Chapter Service, Awards, and Philanthropy
Criteria
The 2025-2027 Chapter Key Application form and instruction guide are available in the All Chapter Officers Workgroup in The Circle.
Chapters are encouraged to work throughout the biennium to prepare their entries. Submissions for the 2027 Chapter Key Award include chapter activities from 1 July 2025 through 30 June 2027.
Recognition
The Chapter Key Award is presented each biennium at Sigma's biennial convention. Nominations will open in November 2026.
